It is possible to place reservations on just the copies held at your own site. To do this you need to click on the drop down under Copy Selection and choose from the list as appropriate.
Then if you choose, for example, copies selected by reader you will be given a list of the individual items so you can choose the appropriate copies to reserve.

Heritage Cirqa update
Here is the lastest update from IS Oxford regarding the upgrade to Heritage Cirqa. I will keep you informed of any further news and once the first few upgrades have taken place, and any subsequent patches are in place, we can begin looking at the timeframe for switching to this new product.
We are currently planning to release the Heritage Cirqa upgrade to customers on Tuesday 7th August 2012.
Heritage Cirqa has already been rolled out to hosted customers and so it has undergone considerable testing. All environments differ so we strongly advise that you undertake a trial upgrade initially in an environment as close to your final, live, configuration as possible. This can be run alongside your existing copy of Heritage.
If you do not have a pressing need to upgrade to Heritage Cirqa, you may wish to hold off until later in the year as there will undoubtedly be further updates before then. The interface is so similar to the existing Heritage that no training of staff or students is expected to be required and we consider that upgrading after the start of the academic year will not cause disruption beyond the time taken for the switch-over.

Age restrictions
The settings relating to age restricted loans have been changed on Heritage. It is no longer possible to override the warning message when students who are under 18 present an over 18 DVD for loan.
This will help us to ensure that we fulfil our legal requirements in this regard and goes towards our safeguarding efforts in the LRCs. So please remember to enter the BBFC rating when cataloguing DVDs so we can make sure they will all be caught by this check process.

Heritage and IE9
As students may have computers which have been updated to Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) or have bought a Windows 7 PC which will have it installed as a matter of course I thought it would be timely to pass on known issues with Heritage.
It appears that Search will work when users are not logged in but once they have logged on the search feature no longer works.
IS Oxford have released a patch to update the JavaScript in Heritage Online but other Heritage users are still reporting problems. Please let me know if you have any students reporting issues related to using Heritage on IE9 and I'll arrange for the patch to be applied.

Reader Record updates
The first import of student records has been done so we should have caught up with many of our January returners and new students.
A different day for the Eclipse export to be made available has been agreed as Friday afternoon was proving to be not an ideal time. So, going forward, new records will be imported after 7pm on a Wednesday evening as a general rule.
Normal service is resumed...

Just to let everyone know that the updates to Reader Records have not resumed after the Christmas break. I've reminded Dan and hopefully the files will be appearing soon.
